Job summary

Apptad Inc is seeking an experienced network engineer to manage deployment configurations for Cisco switches, routers, WLCs, and access points in a demanding enterprise environment. The role requires hands-on work with BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, VPNs, VoIP, high availability protocols, and vendor coordination.

The candidate will also handle service restoration, change requests, device provisioning, and decommissioning.

Qualifications

• 7 to 11 years of experience in deployment configuration of Cisco switches, routers, WLCs and APs.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience configuring BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, IPSEC site-to-site VPN, VoIP, HSRP, GLBP, NAT.
• Experience setting up VPN tunnels and troubleshooting VPN issues.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vendors for existing and new implementations.
• Handle service restoration requests and change requests.
• Commissioning and decommissioning of network components.
• Follow Change Control submission and approval processes.
• Plan, schedule, and implement network device upgrades and migrations with minimal user impact.
• Create and update network drawings using Visio.
• Exhibit excellent communication and client interaction skills.
• Maintain thorough documentation and strong planning/follow-up.

• Strong knowledge and Hands on experience in configuring BGP OSPF EIGRP STP PVST IPSEC site to site VPN VoIP HSRP GLBP Natting


• Setup VPN tunnel and troubleshoot VPN related issues


• Coordinating with Vendor for Existing New Implementation

• Plan schedule and implement network device software hardware upgrades and migrations in a timely manner and during times that will have the minimum impact on the users


• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to meet a business requirement with a technical solution


• Handson experience in creating updating network drawings using Visio


• Excellent communication presentation and effective client interaction ability
