Job summary

Ledgent Technology is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure. The role ensures stability, security, and uptime for local and wide area networks supporting critical business operations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, AD/Group Policy, and data center networks, plus strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure, LAN/WAN and data centers.
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and related networking services.
• Strong AD, Group Policy, and related network technologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network performance and connectivity issues.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related networking equipment.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security to ensure maximum uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, serving as a Tier 3 escalation resource.
• Design, implement, and support LAN, WAN, and data center network solutions.
• Apply network updates, patches, and firmware upgrades.
• Support storage and network security environments.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, expansions, and new deployments.
• Assist with network architecture, planning, and capacity management.
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers for networking and telecommunications services.
• Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes are maintained.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for network systems and procedures.
• Provide project status updates and technical recommendations to leadership.

Overview

• Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar networking certification.
• Experience with Zero Trust networking architectures and security solutions.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Prior experience leading or supporting infrastructure-focused projects.
