Job summary

DHT INFRA VOICE DATA NETWORKS is seeking a Network Engineer for in-person work in the Dayton, Ohio area. The role covers design, installation and maintenance of LAN, WAN and UC networks with emphasis on performance, reliability and security.

The candidate should have 5–7 years of related experience, an associate degree (or higher) and Cisco certifications such as CCNA/CCNP. On-site responsibilities include monitoring, configuring devices, and collaborating with network architects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree minimum; 5–7 years of network experience.

Responsibilities

NETWORK ENGINEER

Full-Time / 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Note: Candidates must be willing to commute and work “in-person” often at the Dayton, Ohio area offices

The Network Engineer position provides design, installation, administration and maintenance of the Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) and the Unified Communication (UC) network. Establishes a networking environment by designing system configuration and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards. Maximizes network performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization. Configures and installs various network devices and services, like routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, VoIP switches, VoIP gateways, contact centers, video conferencing and Quality of Service. Participates or may lead tactical network projects or service requests. Handles technical problems with little to no supervision and interacts with a variety of customers, vendors and consultants. Integrates technical skills with knowledge of the business to provide effective network solutions. Provides guidance and mentoring to colleagues and promotes teamwork.
