Job summary

You will install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routing/switching gear, set up VPNs, and monitor networks with enterprise tools. A proactive problem solver with strong communication is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant IT technical experience.
• 1+ years of network administration in an enterprise or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds NPM/NTA.
• Experience with Cisco, Meraki, HP devices and next-gen firewalls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software (routers, firewalls, switches).
• Protect networks from unauthorized users through physical and technical controls.
• Set up and maintain VPNs.
• Resolve network connectivity issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot storage networks.
• Assist in network design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Maintain stable and consistent connectivity across all network computers.
• Develop, test, and implement training and documentation policies.

Marucci Sports is looking for a Network Engineer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana! The Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the organization's network infrastructure to ensure maximum system availability, network reliability, and manufacturing productivity. This role supports the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of network hardware and software solutions, while assisting in the development and enhancement of network systems that support business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a desire to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Required:

• A firm understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Experience configuring, maintaining, and upgrading Cisco routing/switching hardware.
• Advanced hierarchical/layered troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• WAN administration of point-to-point, DIA, and MPLS circuits.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of network management tools, monitoring applications, and packet capture technologies.
• Project management and prioritization.
• Candidate must demonstrate initiative, be self-motivated, and possess a strong sense of urgency with process improvement skills.

Position Responsibilities:

• Maintain and troubleshoot storage networks.

• Recommend, test, and implement system and security upgrades.
• Develops, implements, and/or approves training and documentation policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conducts evaluation of technology process problems and recommends solutions including the purchase of vendor packages or products.
• Escalation point for network-related service incidents.

Education:

• HS diploma or equivalent
• College-level coursework or certification training in enterprise networking
• CompTIA Network+ or relevant certifications

Experience:

• 4+ years of relevant IT technical experience.
• 1+ years of network administration in an enterprise or manufacturing environment.
• Network monitoring experience with SolarWinds NPM, NTA.
• Experience with Cisco, Meraki, HP, and next-generation firewall preferred.
