Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Seattle is seeking a Network Development Engineer for the Internet Edge team to design and deploy scalable network infrastructure across global data centers.

You will work with routing protocols, automation, and cross-functional teams to roll out new designs while maintaining security and performance at scale. The role includes on-call responsibilities and travel to data centers as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols.
• 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment.
• 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Deploy network infrastructure across all network fabrics supporting multiple AWS services.
• Deploy, scale and automate our network across multiple global datacenters.
• Drive scaling of current network designs to meet demand.
• Create simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase velocity and quality.
• Work with internal customers on designs/solutions; take designs from concept to production.
• Create and update network standards and ensure deployment to these standards.
• Create and implement changes on the network.
• Collaborate with automation teams to scale at higher volume.
