Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Network Development Engineer to drive IP network deployment, scaling, and optimization for AWS infrastructure supporting U.S. Intelligence Community engagements.

You will own networking projects, collaborate with Unix systems and software engineers, and help deploy standards, tooling, and repeatable processes across data centers and global networks, with off-hours pager rotation and security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols.
• Basic Qualifications: Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting.
• Basic Qualifications: Experience in major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF.
• Basic Qualifications: Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Junos.
• Basic Qualifications: Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and transform networking projects related to deployment, implementation, scaling, and optimization.
• Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products.
• Develop configurations standards and tooling to support repeatable network processes.
