Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Network Development Engineer to drive deployment, scaling and automation for one of the world’s largest networks.

You will work on AWS Direct Connect initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, reliability and cost-effective scalability across data centers globally. The role requires 4+ years in Linux/Unix and routing protocol experience, with a focus on building durable, automated network solutions and supporting large-scale

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Linux/Unix environment experience.
• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain our next generation networks.
• Deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes.
• Work closely with Network Engineering & Deployment teams to ensure operational readiness for new deployments.
• Drive standards across the network and ensure compliance with those standards and policies.
• Participate in incident management during large-scale events and drive corrective actions to completion.
• Improve detection with new alerts; create and review docs for recurring issues and SOPs.
• Troubleshoot interconnectivity issues and low-level app interactions.
• Develop scripts/tools to enable repeatable tasks.
