Job summary

Tahoe Forest Health System is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design and deploy network systems with a focus on performance, security, and HIPAA-compliance. You will define appropriate monitoring, maintenance, expansion, and recovery plans while troubleshooting issues and providing Level-2/3 support.

Ideal candidates bring Cisco, Aruba, and Palo Alto experience, along with strong documentation skills and the ability to collaborate across IT teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or 4+ years related experience.
• 6+ years general computer technical support and configuration experience.
• 5+ years relevant experience in networking/IT.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy network plans that meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
• Define monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans.
• Troubleshoot network issues and develop effective solutions.
• Maintain network security with firewalls and VPNs, monitor threats.
• Collaborate with vendors and IT teams on complex network problems.
• Document network diagrams, processes, and configurations.
