Job summary

By Light Professional IT Services LLC is seeking a Network Design Engineer to design and document MILDEP Campus Area Networks for the COMPMOD program. You will lead technical resources across CONUS installations, ensuring plans meet customer standards and government processes.

Requires 10+ years in network design, CCNA, and the ability to coordinate with multiple teams. The role may involve travel for deployments and requires an Active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a technical discipline with at least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• CCNA certification required.
• Ability to direct technical resources in design upgrades and cutover plans.
• Experience with Layer 2/Layer 3 networks including VLANs, VNI, VRFs, and related Cisco equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering assessments of network configurations and review work products for correctness and adherence to standards.
• Coordinate with Project/Program Manager and Lead Engineer on design decisions and milestones.
• Prepare milestone status reports and presentations for stakeholders and end users.
• Follow Army engineering processes and submit site reports and drawings for government review and approval.
