Our Edge Platform team takes ownership for planning, building, maintaining and operating our global platform. We design, develop and deploy critical technologies including the hardware, software and network infrastructure that provide the technical underpinnings for all of Akamai's products.

As a Network Delivery Architect II, you will collaborate with multiple teams to understand deployment requirements from both a technical and business perspective. You will evaluate Akamai product needs and how to fulfill those within the internet ecosystem.

Responsibilities include:

• Building and designing performant and scalable infrastructure to meet traffic targets
• Coordinating deployment strategies and system changes, participating in planning and release schedules
• Collaborating within and across teams to propose, plan, and deploy new technologies and processes
• Identifying and resolving network problems and improving efficiency
• Participating in architectural design discussions and planning
• Monitoring and planning intra-city/inter-city connectivity to address congestion and performance issues

To be successful, you will:

• Have 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Be able to analyze data, provide actionable solutions, and demonstrate thought leadership
• Have experience with SQL or similar query languages
• Manage projects effectively, communicate risks, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
• Be curious and capable of learning technical concepts and communicating them to diverse audiences
