Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python programming and automation.
• Experience with Netmiko, PyATS, PyEZ, and Napalm (at least 2 out of the 4).
• Ansible IT automation experience.
• Linux experience, including shell scripting.
• Experience in new build configuration on Cisco IOS or Junos OS.
• Routing/L3 provisioning, life cycle, and troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of MPLS VPN Architecture (P, PE, CE).
• Cisco CCNA and/or Juniper JNCIA certification (or higher).

Responsibilities

Job Overview

The Network/Data Engineer is responsible for providing custom data network operational support, design, engineering, and planning for complex global data network and communications projects. This role involves TCP/IP and related protocol connectivity for networks supporting customers in a 7x24 environment. The position requires expertise in managing interoperability between Cisco and Juniper Layer 3 platforms, deploying new routers and switches, and providing real‑time analysis and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Manage interoperability between Cisco and Juniper Layer 3 platforms using alarm and ticket systems, customized scripts, customer notifications, and Business Partner escalations.
• Deploy new routers, switches, and trunk capacity, including configuration.
• Provide real‑time in-depth analysis and troubleshooting of incidents related to Cisco, Juniper, Operations Support Systems, and Data Communications Network Technology platforms.
• Participate in project‑based work within a team environment.
• Work occasional night shifts, including half‑night or full‑night shifts, 3 to 4 nights a week.

Pay Range: $50hr- $55hr on w2
