Job summary

Verto People seeks a Network Estimator/Structured Cabling Estimator/Low Voltage Estimator to join a leading electrical contractor based in Texas. The role focuses on estimating and supporting the delivery of large-scale commercial technology infrastructure projects, including data centers and mission critical facilities.

You will prepare accurate estimates, review drawings and bid documents, and coordinate with vendors to develop competitive, detailed proposals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience estimating commercial structured cabling, low-voltage, or technology infrastructure projects.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specs and bid docs to determine project requirements and scope.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and estimating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for large-scale commercial structured cabling and technology infrastructure projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project requirements and scope.
• Complete material takeoffs, labor estimates, and pricing analysis to develop accurate proposals.
• Obtain vendor pricing and coordinate with suppliers for competitive estimates.
• Support preconstruction processes including scope reviews, RFIs, value engineering, and bid submissions.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to ensure smooth handover.
• Identify risks, scope gaps, and cost impacts during estimating.
• Support delivery of complex commercial technology projects including mission critical facilities and data centers.
