Job summary

Selectek is seeking a highly motivated Event Network Coordinator to support wired and wireless networking for events at the San Jose Convention Center. You will plan, implement, and manage network services for a variety of events, ensuring client satisfaction and seamless connectivity.

Responsibilities include coordinating with clients, planning network requirements, installing equipment, and troubleshooting during events, with on-site support and adherence to venue standards.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in live/event environments.
• Ability to install and manage Ethernet cabling in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
• Excellent interpersonal and client-facing communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience supporting networks for events, conventions, or large venues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with clients, event planners, and internal teams to assess and define wired and wireless networking requirements for events.
• Manage all network-related aspects of convention center events from planning through execution and teardown.
• Install and troubleshoot wired and wireless networking equipment during events.
• Run Ethernet cabling across event spaces as required.
• Monitor network performance during events and quickly resolve connectivity issues.
• Manage sales orders that come in for event network needs.
• Maintain clear communication with clients to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
• Provide on-site technical support and guidance throughout event operations.
• Ensure all network setups adhere to safety, operational, and venue standards.

Pay Range: $34/hour - $39/hour ($71,000 - $82,000 annual salary)

Term of assignment: 6-months contract to direct

WFH/Remote: No

Hours & Shift: Monday - Friday; 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Overtime: Some on occasion.

Travel: No - most work will be on site at San Jose Convention Center
