Job summary

The Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) Network Administrator role sits within Mission Technologies’ Global Security (GS) group. You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot network connectivity across multiple networks and classification levels to ensure continuous services for Navy customers.

Required Security+ and a US Top Secret clearance, with extensive experience in Cisco IOS, firewall ACLs, WAN/LAN, and NOSC/NOC operations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years with Masters; 10 years with PhD/JD; or HS diploma with 19 years relevant experience.
• Security+ or equivalent certification required
• Must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Top Secret security clearance
• Experience installing/troubleshooting WAN and LAN network equipment and circuits
• Strong experience in monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting ASA firewall ACLs
• Strong ability to troubleshoot network issues at the protocol/packet level using sniffers, protocol analyzers, NetFlow, logging, etc.
• Strong technical network troubleshooting and critical thinking skills across multiple systems
• Strong knowledge of Cisco internetworking (IP, switching, routing) and Cisco IOS
• Experience in a NOSC/NOC environment with help desk, ticketing, and customer communication
• Experience with NSA Type 1 cryptographic devices and keymat KG-175D and KG-75
• Willing to work periodic shifted schedules including evenings/nights/weekends

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot NETTN connectivity across classification levels
• Provide network troubleshooting for WANs, devices, ACLs, VoIP, and cryptographic configurations
• Coordinate with Navy, DISA, and circuit providers for implementations and troubleshooting
• Maintain IA compliance including IOS upgrades and firewall ACL verification/changes
• Support remote sites in restoring network failures
