Job summary

Beacon Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to act as the internal technical authority overseeing uptime, security, and data integrity across HIPAA-regulated and other complex environments managed by a third‑party outsourcer.

You will audit vendor deliverables, validate network and database changes, and support compliance activities, including vulnerability remediation and DR planning. This on-site role in Monona, WI offers growth opportunities and exposure to enterprise-scale

Qualifications

• BS/BA in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in network engineering, database administration, or infrastructure oversight in MSP/outsourced IT.
• Experience with LAN/WAN, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, multi-platform databases.
• Experience with vulnerability management and DR planning.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary MSP contact and audit SLA, incident resolution, root cause analyses.
• Support compliance audits with logs, diagrams, access reviews, and vulnerability remediation evidence.
• Audit vendor network changes, firewall rules, routing updates, and database patching.
• Oversee Aruba wireless and ClearPass deployments and DB2/SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL environments managed by outsourcer.
• Other job-related responsibilities may be assigned as required.
