Job summary

Beacon Technologies, Inc seeks a Server and Storage Administrator to oversee critical infrastructure across on-prem, multi-tenant, and cloud environments. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent/practical experience.
• 3+ years hands-on and oversight experience in server and storage administration in multi-tenant or hybrid environments with third-party outsourcing providers.
• Strong proficiency with VMware vSphere, Azure Cloud, and Windows/Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Nutanix Files/Objects; familiarity with vSAN, SAN switches, and EKMS concepts.
• Understanding of IPv4 subnetting, routing tables, and dual-homed system architectures.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA, CMMC Level 2 (NIST SP 800-171), CMS MAC ARS compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to audit technical work, validate compliance controls, and ensure uptime, performance, and disaster recovery readiness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outsourcer performance and SLA governance; primary contact for server, storage, and cloud infrastructure services.
• Audit outsourcer activities: SLAs, incident resolution, RCAs, configuration baselines, and logs.
• Liaise between teams, partners, and outsourcers for clear communication and coordinated operations.
• Verify HIPAA compliance through data isolation, encryption, and access control configurations.
• Enforce CMMC Level 2 and CMS MAC ARS in federal environments; monitor security control adherence.
• Support compliance audits by gathering documentation.

Job description

Beacon is seeking a Server and Storage Administrator for our client partner. The Server and Storage Administrator oversees and validates infrastructure services delivered by third-party outsourcing vendors. The role ensures maximum uptime, capacity, and efficiency across physical, virtual, and cloud environments while enforcing contractual SLAs. It supports dual environments with significant compliance requirements, including HIPAA for Commercial Healthcare and CMMC Level 2 and CMS MAC ARS for TRICARE and Medicare. The administrator serves as the internal technical authority, auditing IaaS deliverables, analyzing and escalating complex infrastructure issues, and collaborating with internal teams and vendors. The role also verifies multi-tenant compliance baselines to meet federal and healthcare regulatory standards.

Essential Functions:

• Oversee outsourcer performance and SLA governance by serving as the primary contact for server, storage, and cloud infrastructure services.
• Audit outsourcer activities by reviewing performance SLAs, incident resolution, RCAs, infrastructure changes, configuration baselines, patching routines, and system logs.
• Liaise between teams, business partners, and outsourcers to ensure clear communication and coordinated technical operations.
• Verify HIPAA compliance in the healthcare environment by ensuring data isolation, encryption, and proper system and access control configurations.
• Enforce CMMC Level 2 and CMS MAC ARS requirements in federal environments by monitoring security control adherence across all infrastructure.
• Support compliance audits by gathering documentation.

Qualifications:

• Three (3) plus years of hands on and oversight experience in server and storage administration within multi tenant or hybrid environments including experience working with or supervising third party IT outsourcing providers.
• Strong proficiency with VMware vSphere, Azure Cloud, and Windows/Linux operating systems.
• Direct experience with Nutanix Files and Objects, plus familiarity with vSAN, SAN switch concepts, and EKMS principles.
• Understanding of IPv4 subnetting, routing tables, and dual home system architecture.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA, CMMC Level 2 (NIST SP 800 171), and CMS MAC ARS compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to audit technical work, validate compliance controls, and ensure uptime, performance, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Strong understanding of IT service management and vendor governance frameworks, including Infrastructure as a Service.
• Extensive knowledge of both on-prem and cloud hosting solutions.
• Strong knowledge of system monitoring tools and performance tuning.
• Solid knowledge of capacity planning and performance tuning of hosting and database solutions.
