Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience.
• 3+ years of experience developing, evaluating or implementing technology or risk assessment activities.
• 8+ years of legal, compliance, or risk management experience OR 7+ years of regulatory experience in consumer financial services or payments industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and effective challenge on compliance risks impacting network and merchant businesses.
• Develop expert understanding of network and merchant processes.
• Analyze laws and regulations per Capital One's global inventory.
• Identify trends in data and external network payments risks.
• Maintain subject matter expertise in payments industry and applicable laws.
• Collaborate with first/second lines to adapt risk framework; educate leaders.
• Ensure compliance in expansions and new products; assess opportunities for card acceptance.
• Build relationships with Business Risk, Legal, and Audit to support integration.
