Job summary

DRW Holdings, LLC. is seeking a Systems Software Engineer for the Network Capture Services team in Chicago.

You will write and deploy software (C++, Python, Rust, Ruby) and also handle systems work like provisioning capture servers with Ansible and coordinating with data center teams. You will participate in weekly production support, contribute to automation and capacity planning, and help onboard new deployments with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional systems software engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Rust, C/C++, or Go as primary language; Ruby and Rust a plus.
• Strong Linux administration and production server troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and validate network capture servers across teams.
• Develop and maintain capture and query software (C++, Python, Rust, Ruby) with emphasis on testing and reliability.
• Build Ansible automation and deployment tooling for repeatable capture server provisioning.
• Coordinate with data center, systems, network, and purchasing teams to deploy solutions.
• Respond to production issues on a rotating schedule; participate in incident response and monitoring.
• Onboard new deployments with stakeholder teams and drive propagation to production.
