Job summary

LINX is seeking a Low Voltage Estimator in Salt Lake City to support sales by preparing accurate cost estimates for network cabling systems, including materials, labor and travel expenses. You will coordinate with sales, project managers and engineers to ensure bids align with budgets and timelines, while staying current with industry standards.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years estimating experience in network cabling and a strong ability to read drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience estimating network cabling projects
• Strong foundational knowledge of network cabling systems, materials and installation practices (copper and fiber)
• Ability to read and interpret project drawings, specifications and other project documents

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for network cabling systems, including materials, labor and expenses
• Support the development of bid proposals in alignment with project budgets and timelines
• Review basic project documents to understand scope of work and document requirements
• Collaborate with sales, project managers and engineers to ensure estimates meet project needs
• Stay updated on industry standards and participate in training to enhance estimation skills
