Job summary

Electra Link, Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Estimator for structured cabling projects. You will develop accurate, competitive estimates for voice/data, telecommunications, and low-voltage systems, based on drawings, specs, and vendor quotes.

Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Purchasing, and operations to ensure bids reflect scope, risks, and client requirements. Three-plus years in estimating or related fields and knowledge of building cabling standards are

Qualifications

• Experience in structured cabling or low-voltage estimating.
• Ability to read blueprints, construction drawings, and bid documents.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office; strong math skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for structured cabling and low-voltage projects.
• Review drawings, specs, bid documents, and addenda to define scope.
• Perform material and labor takeoffs and develop BOMs.
• Determine labor needs, equipment, installation methods, and costs.
• Assist with system layouts, rack elevations, and pathways.
• Collaborate with Sales, PM, Purchasing, and Operations on bids.
• Prepare complete bid proposals and documentation.
• Maintain bid/project data in Sales Now and support handoff.
