Position Summary:
We are seeking a Network Automation Engineer with expertise in Terraform, AWS, and networking technologies, specifically Cisco, Cisco IOS, and Cisco Multi cloud Defense. The ideal candidate will have experience in automating network infrastructure, managing cloud-based networking solutions, and optimizing connectivity across hybrid environments. This role requires proficiency in SIP networking and the ability to participate in an on-call rotation to support network-related issues.

This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to Sr. IT Manager

What you will do:

• Network Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Design, develop, and maintain network automation solutions using Terraform.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate network provisioning and configuration.
  • Ensure consistency and compliance across network environments using automation tools.
• Cloud & On-Prem Networking
  • Design, implement, and manage AWS networking components, including VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, and Security Groups.
  • Work with Cisco networking solutions, including Cisco IOS, to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
  • Implement and manage Cisco Multi cloud Defense for security, automation, and policy enforcement across hybrid environments.
  • Optimize hybrid cloud networking solutions to improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Possesses a strong understanding of Cisco IOS, demonstrated by the ability to configure and troubleshoot complex network environments.
• Proficient in implementing routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), Layer 2/Layer 3 tunnels, IP NAT, and security features within the Cisco ecosystem.
• Manages and maintains Cisco routers and switches, ensuring optimal network performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and optimize SIP-based network traffic and VoIP infrastructure.
• Analyze and resolve call quality issues, including latency, jitter, and packet loss.
• Work closely with voice engineering teams to enhance SIP traffic routing and resilience.
• Security & Compliance
  • Implement and maintain network security best practices using Cisco IOS, Cisco Multi cloud Defense, and AWS security services.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure network policies align with organizational security standards.
• Incident Response & On-Call Support
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for network-related incidents.
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide resolutions for network performance issues.
  • Develop and document incident response procedures to improve troubleshooting efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; continuing education or bachelor’s degree in related disciplines preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering and automation.
• Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for network incidents.
• Strong proficiency with Terraform for network automation and infrastructure deployment.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including Cisco IOS.
• Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), L2L tunnels, IP NAT, and security features within the Cisco ecosystem.
• Experience with Cisco Multi cloud Defense for cloud security and network automation.
• Solid understanding of AWS networking components, including VPCs, Route 53, and Transit Gateway.
• Understanding of SIP protocol, call flows, and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, sngrep).
• Experience with SIP trunking, SBCs, and VoIP traffic analysis.
• Familiarity with AWS security best practices, including IAM, NACLs, and security groups.
• Experience with network monitoring tools, such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or ELK.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for network automation.
• Knowledge of container networking (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience working in a multi-cloud environment (Azure, GCP).
• Industry certifications:AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Cisco CCNP or CCIE, Cisco Multi cloud Defense certifications
• Excellent verbal and written Communication Skills,presentation,and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills,self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create high-quality results-driven,team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel(upto5%); may include some overnight travel.
• Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams)

Compensation :
