Job summary

Insight Global is seeking experienced Network Engineers in Huntsville, AL to design and modernize large-scale, secure networks. You will own architecture decisions, develop scalable Layer 2/3 solutions, VLAN architectures, and firewall integrations while aligning with Zero Trust principles.

You will work with stakeholders to capture evolving requirements, integrate emerging technologies, and ensure compliance with security standards in highly secure environments.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance is required to be considered.
• Expertise in routing, switching, L2/L3, and VLAN architectures.
• Experience with SDN, firewall engineering, and cloud networking.
• Familiar with STIGs, FedRAMP, and secure environments.
• Proficiency in Ansible and Python for automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and modernize complex network environments.
• Develop Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking solutions.
• Design and implement VLAN architectures.
• Engineer and integrate firewall technologies.
• Implement software-defined networking (SDN).
• Contribute to Zero Trust architecture efforts.
• Support cloud-enabled infrastructure and networking capabilities.
• Troubleshoot complex network integration and performance issues.
• Develop technical recommendations and network designs.
• Work directly with stakeholders to understand evolving requirements.
• Integrate emerging technologies into existing environments.
