Job summary

Focus in Huntsville, AL seeks Network Assessment & DevSecOps Engineers to evaluate existing network architectures, perform blue-teaming and defensive security assessments, and build comprehensive network topologies for upcoming defense contracts.

Entry-level and mid-level roles are available. A DoD Secret clearance is required or obtainable within 60 days. The engineer will map topologies, conduct security assessments, and implement DevSecOps pipelines to strengthen defense posture.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Entry-Level: 0–2 years with network mapping, Visio/Nmap/Wireshark, and basic scripting (Python/Bash).
• Mid-Level: 3–5+ years of network architecture assessments, defensive cyber/blue teaming, and DevSecOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Map, diagram, and document existing enterprise network topologies to support future contract architecture design.
• Conduct network security assessments and defensive blue-teaming operations to identify vulnerabilities and bottlenecks.
• Implement automated scripts and CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps) to streamline network configuration and testing.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to propose tactical network improvements and modernization plans.
