VetRamp is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain high-performance network appliances at the stack and kernel level. You will collaborate with software and hardware teams to build reliable solutions and optimize performance.

The role offers flexible hours with remote options and requires strong C/C++, Linux kernel experience, and solid networking protocol knowledge. You will participate in reviews and help advance our cutting-edge network technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in network appliance development at the network stack/kernel level.
• Proficient in C/C++ programming.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs.
• Experience with Linux kernel development.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain network appliances at the network stack and kernel level.
• Work with software engineers, hardware engineers, and product managers to define and develop solutions.
• Optimize performance and scalability.
• Conduct testing and debugging to ensure reliability and stability.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Participate in code reviews and improve development processes.
