Job summary

Pavago is seeking a Network Engineer to design, secure, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across client environments. This remote role focuses on reliability, performance, and security, with ownership of network health across day-to-day ops and long-term initiatives.

You will work on routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and hybrid cloud networking, ensuring high availability and scalable solutions for multi-site deployments in a remote-friendly, U.S. business-hours setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Network Engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience managing enterprise networking environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSPF, BGP and EIGRP.
• Experience configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN environments.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting platforms.
• Strong experience with Cisco networking environments or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, QoS.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Implement and manage VLANs, QoS, VPN tunnels, ACLs, and routing protocols.
• Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Support network expansion projects, migrations, and upgrades.
• Maintain reliable connectivity across multi-site and hybrid environments.
• Monitor network health and troubleshoot latency, DNS, routing, and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot escalated incidents using Wireshark and TCPdump.
• Participate in on-call support and respond to critical network incidents.
