Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Hyper‑V hosts, VMs, clustering, and storage.
• Administer Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, file services).
• Monitor and optimize network performance (switches, firewalls, VLANs, routing, VPNs).
• Perform system updates, patching, backups, and disaster recovery tasks.
• Implement security best practices and assist with compliance requirements.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for server, network, and virtualization issues.
• Document configurations, procedures, and changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshootHyper‑V hosts, virtual machines, clustering, and storage.
• AdministerWindows Serverenvironments, including AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file services.
• Monitor and optimizenetwork performance, including switches, firewalls, VLANs, routing, and VPNs.
• Perform system updates, patching, backups, and disaster-recovery tasks.
• Implement security best practices and assist with compliance requirements.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for server, network, and virtualization issues.
• Document configurations, procedures, and changes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Hands‑on experience withHyper‑V(VM creation, replication, failover clustering).
• Strong understanding ofTCP/IP, subnets, routing, VLANs, and firewall concepts.
• Proficiency withWindows Serveradministration.
• Familiarity with PowerShell for automation is a plus.
• Ability to diagnose complex issues and work independently.

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science, management information systems, or certain other information technology-based fields of study and two years of relevant information technology experience.
• Relevant information technology experience and training may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the four years of college education.
• The salary for Senior Information Systems Programmer/Analyst is commensurate with experience. The Auditor General offers a competitive benefits package.
