Job summary

Joint Strategic Technologies (JST) seeks a Network and Computer Systems Administrator for on-site support at Hurlburt Field, FL. You will handle Tier 1 support for the AOC Weapons System and coordinate with Tier 2/3 teams to resolve complex IT issues.

The role requires DoD RMF familiarity, Windows Server and AD expertise, plus PowerShell/Bash scripting. Clear communication and on-call availability are essential for 24/7 mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Information Technology.
• Minimum of 1 year as a Systems Administrator.
• DoD Active SECRET clearance and ability to receive TS/SCI.
• MCSE and RMF experience are preferred.
• Windows platform experience and IT security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support AOC Weapons System Tier 1 support for AFSOC/Unit Operations Centers.
• Provide Tier 1 support for all systems and escalate Tier 2/3 issues.
• Maintain and tune hardware, servers, storage, networks, and security controls.
• Perform daily systems monitoring, patching, and upgrades.
• Coordinate with team on incident response and service restoration.
• Maintain operational readiness of Patriot Excalibur (PEX) instances.

Overview

JST is seeking a Network and Computer Systems Administrator to support the AOC Weapons System Tier 1 support to the AFSOC/Unit Operations Centers and provide Tier 1 support for all systems and forward Tier 2 and Tier 3 support issues to the appropriate organization.

This is a full-time position on-site in Hurlburt Field, FL. JST offers a full benefit package, a collaborative work environment and strong company culture.

Network And Computer Systems Administrator Responsibilities

• Support the AOC Weapons System Tier 1 support to the AFSOC/Unit Operations Centers


• Provide Tier 1 support for all systems and forward Tier 2 and Tier 3 support issues to the appropriate organization


• Provide solutions to complex problems on the integration of various technologies


• Assigns personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work


• Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization


• Provide database, server, network, mobile device, radio, and client administration, operations, maintenance, engineering support, client support, network monitoring, software configurations, servers, switches, routers, firewalls and perform daily systems monitoring, patch/software management, as well as tech refreshes and upgrades


• Support the application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications


• Support the design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing or modification of computer systems based on and related to user or system design specifications


• Responsible for resolving IT hardware and software infrastructure issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate functions


• Ensure AFSOC's Patriot Excalibur (PEX) instances are operational and patched for both hardware and software


• Provide reach-back support from Hurlburt Field, FL for forces at other in-garrison and deployed sites across the world including the operations and maintenance of OL services in support of AFSOF units at sites without dedicated support


• Support the 24 hours a day 7 days a week operation of the Mission Systems Support Center (MSSC) and its associated hotline


• Log, track, and coordinate issues raised by AFSOF personnel and units, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely fashion. via phone, remote computer access, and on-site if applicable


• Define and mature operations and maintenance processes for systems


• Develop and follow documented incident response measures


• Maintain hardware and network infrastructure for fielded systems


• Monitor, diagnose, and resolve complex network, storage and computer system issues


• Collaborate with IT team to develop action plan for improved operations


• Install, configure, and maintain computer software integrity


• Implement operating system enhancements that will improve system reliability and performance

Network And Computer Systems Administrator Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Information Technology OR 3 years of equivalent professional experience


• 3+ years of experience in Information Technology


• Minimum of (1) one year experience as a Systems Administrator


• Current DoD Active SECRET / Ability to receive a TS/SCI clearance


• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)


• Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)


• Experience with Windows platform


• IAT Level II certification; Experience with Windows (2012 and higher); Scripting; PowerShell (Windows); Bash (Linux); Active Directory; MDM preferred


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time


• Must be available for on-call support as needed
