Upturn Co. is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to manage and protect enterprise network infrastructure in a government-oriented environment.

You will configure and monitor routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems across multiple locations in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and beyond. The role requires 7+ years in network management, strong security implementation, and proficiency with monitoring tools, VPNs, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience managing enterprise network environments.
• Experience supporting complex network infrastructures in large organizations or government environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless).
• Monitor network performance for high availability and throughput.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues and outages.
• Implement and maintain network security measures (firewalls, VPNs, access controls).
• Support LAN, WAN, and wireless environments across multiple locations.

The Network Administrator is responsible for the configuration, management, monitoring, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure. This role ensures reliable, secure, and high-performance connectivity across enterprise systems, data centers, and remote locations. The Network Administrator works closely with system administrators, security personnel, and IT support teams to maintain network stability, optimize performance, and support the delivery of mission-critical government services.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
• Monitor network performance and ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal throughput.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, outages, and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPN configurations, and access controls.
• Support LAN, WAN, and wireless network environments across multiple locations.
• Configure and maintain network monitoring and management tools.
• Assist with network upgrades, infrastructure expansion, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration records, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with system administrators and application teams to ensure network compatibility with enterprise applications and services.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience managing enterprise network environments.
• Experience supporting complex network infrastructures in large organizations or government environments.
