Job summary

Forbes Technical Consulting LLC is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of a large multi-site enterprise network. You will work hands-on with Cisco and Fortinet technologies across on-premises and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has Cisco experience, Fortinet FortiGate SD-WAN knowledge, and a track record of integrating networks during growth or acquisitions, with hybrid cloud exposure to Azure and AWS.

Qualifications

• Strong Cisco networking experience
• Experience with Fortinet FortiGate SD-WAN
• Experience with hybrid cloud & on-prem environments (Azure/AWS)

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of a large, multi-site enterprise network environment. This individual will work hands-on across Cisco and Fortinet technologies, supporting both on-premises and cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong Cisco networking experience, hands-on Fortinet/FortiGate SD-WAN knowledge, and experience supporting network environments through organizational growth, acquisitions, or infrastructure integrations.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco switching and wireless infrastructure
• Support and administer FortiGate SD-WAN environments
• Install and integrate switches, routers, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, and related network technologies
• Support network environments across corporate offices, remote locations, and cloud platforms
• Monitor network performance, availability, security, and connectivity
• Troubleshoot network-related incidents and resolve issues for end users and remote administrators
• Support WAN connectivity and multiple WAN technologies
• Assist with network integrations related to mergers and acquisitions
• Support hybrid environments across on-premises, Azure, and AWS
• Configure and support Cisco ISE or other Network Access Control (NAC) solutions
• Assist with cloud-based telecommunications solutions
• Perform network upgrades, patches, security configurations, and system maintenance
• Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, policies, and procedures
• Research and recommend network infrastructure improvements
• Cross-train technical team members and share network best practices

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Network Administrator, Network Engineer, or similar networking role
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies
• Strong knowledge of Cisco switching, routing, and wireless infrastructure
• Experience with routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, and MPLS
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises environments, including Azure and/or AWS
• Working knowledge of Cisco ISE or similar NAC solutions
• Experience configuring and monitoring enterprise Wi-Fi networks
• Strong knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, WAN connectivity, and network security
• Strong troubleshooting, organization, prioritization, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting network infrastructure during mergers, acquisitions, or enterprise integrations
• Cisco or other relevant networking certifications
• Experience with Windows and VMware environments
• Experience evaluating infrastructure requirements and recommending hardware, software, and network solutions
• Experience training or supporting end users and technical team members
