Job summary

Oakland Schools is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to install, configure, maintain, and secure a reliable network infrastructure. The role troubleshoots connectivity and performance issues while supporting switches, routers, firewalls, wireless systems, and related technologies.

You will manage network access and user accounts, collaborate on system upgrades, and help modernize hardware and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and two to three years' experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Certifications related to general Network Administration, Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and secure reliable network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues across network devices and security systems.
• Manage network access, user accounts, and permissions; enforce robust access policies.
• Lead daily network troubleshooting with engineers, vendors, and contractors; participate in on-call rotation.
