Job summary

Oakland Schools in Michigan seeks an experienced Network Administrator to install, configure, maintain, and secure reliable network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless systems, and related technologies.

You will troubleshoot connectivity and performance, manage user accounts and permissions, participate in on-call rotation, and collaborate with network engineers, vendors, and district staff to upgrade systems and strengthen security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and 2–3 years' experience required.
• Certifications related to general Network Administration, Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and secure network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless).
• Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues across network services and devices.
• Manage network access, user accounts, and permissions to ensure security and efficiency.
• Collaborate with network engineers, district staff, vendors, and contractors on upgrades and policy enforcement.
