Job summary

West Anaheim Medical Center seeks a Network Technician to design, install, and support the hospital's LAN/WAN infrastructure. You will monitor network availability, implement security measures, and maintain network hardware and software with IT teams.

The role requires 2+ years of experience and knowledge of servers, Active Directory, and network protocols. A High School diploma is required; an Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred, with MCP/MSDE/CCNA certifications viewed favorably.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of applicable work experience.
• Knowledge of servers configurations, active directories, LAN and WAN.
• High School Diploma Required for all new hires starting 4/1/14.
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Training in windows 2003 servers and exchange server 2003.
• MCP Certification or MSDE Microsoft Certification preferred.
• CCNA or Similar networking certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and support the organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), network segment, or Internet system.
• Maintains network hardware and software, analyze problems, and monitor the network to ensure availability to system users.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures, including firewalls.
