Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Longview, TX is seeking a Network Administrator II to support and maintain data networking across WAN/LAN and wireless infrastructure. You will troubleshoot devices, configure routers/switches, manage IP addressing, and ensure network reliability to serve clinical and administrative users.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of experience, a bachelor’s or equivalent, knowledge of DHCP/DNS/IPAM, Windows AD, and familiarity with Cisco or Aruba products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or 2 years equivalent experience.
• Two years of hands-on LAN/WAN implementation and troubleshooting experience.
• Configure, troubleshoot and deploy WAN circuits using PTP, ASE, MPLS (etc).
• Configure, troubleshoot and deploy networks using EIGRP, OSPF.
• Layer 2 and Layer 3 implementation with knowledge of networking protocols, wireless access and security.
• Experience with Cisco and/or Aruba wired and wireless products.
• Knowledge of DHCP, DNS and IPAM technologies.
• Solid understanding of Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft AD.
• Good documentation skills using Visio or similar.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure design and installation.
• Detail oriented with strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Ability to travel regularly within area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain LAN/WAN and wireless infrastructure.
• Configure and manage routers and switches; monitor network performance.
• Document and update networking standards and procedures; produce department reports.
• Provide second-level technical support and escalation guidance.
• Participate in testing and deployment of network upgrades.
• Assist other IT teams and support after-hours on-call rotation.
