Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an experienced entry-level technical support professional in Gardena, CA to assist with operational maintenance of healthcare systems. You will handle workstation deployment, user support, and troubleshooting while protecting regulated data under supervision.

The role requires strong communication skills, familiarity with Windows environments, and the ability to work with Microsoft 365 apps such as Outlook and Teams. Health benefits and retirement plans are included.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of IT support experience (Windows, Desktop, Networking, Data/Voice).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office/Office365, Windows 11, Windows Servers.
  • Valid California driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Strong communication skills for training and assisting users.
  • Ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to helpdesk tickets and technical support requests from staff.
  • Installs and configures workstations, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Performs workstation imaging and equipment deployment.
  • Assists users with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook and Teams.
  • Performs password resets and basic account administration under approved procedures.
  • Escalates server, network, or security issues to higher-level IT staff.
  • Maintains asset inventory and device tracking records.
  • Documents troubleshooting steps and updates internal technical documentation.
  • Follows agency policies protecting regulated data.

Statement of Purpose

Provides entry level technical support for agency staff and assists with the operational maintenance of systems supporting healthcare operations. The position handles workstation deployment, user support, and troubleshooting while adhering to agency security procedures designed to protect regulated data. Work is performed under supervision and in accordance with established access control policies that support the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of regulated data.

Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responds to helpdesk tickets and technical support requests from staff.
  • Installs and configures workstations, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Performs workstation imaging and equipment deployment.
  • Assists users with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook and Teams.
  • Performs password resets and basic account administration under approved procedures.
  • Escalates server, network, or security issues to Network Administrator II, III, Technical Lead or IT Manager.
  • Maintains asset inventory and device tracking records.
  • Documents troubleshooting steps and updates internal technical documentation.
  • Follows agency policies supporting protection of electronic protected health information and other regulated data.
  • Participate in safety program to promote client and staff safety
  • Maintain professional boundaries and standards. Treat clients with respect, care, and concern.
  • Comply with confidentiality requirements at all times.
  • Maintain health and safety standards of facility.
  • Recognize personal biases working within diverse populations.
  • Maintain cultural sensitivity at all times.
  • Maintain familiarity with BHS policies and procedures and other applicable regulations; perform job duties accordingly. Represent BHS well in all contacts.
  • Attend meetings and training courses and participate in committees as assigned.

Qualifications: Prerequisite Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or associate degree with experience or certifications.
  • Minimum of two years of IT support experience (Windows, Desktop, Networking, Data/Voice).
  • Must have intermediate level computer skills, and aptitude for acquiring new skills and knowledge.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Office365, Windows 11, Windows Servers, LAN, WAN, Firewall, Internet, and related applications are required.
  • Must have valid California driver’s license and personal vehicle with liability insurance when driving personal vehicle on BHS business.
  • Ability to use language and terms appropriate for target audiences.
  • Ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment with multiple active tasks.
  • Strong communication skills for training and assisting users
