Statement of Purpose

The Network Administrator II is responsible for installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of all computerized equipment including, but not limited to, MS Windows Servers, SCCM, SQL, Exchange, Azure, Office 365, SharePoint, switches, routers, Skype for Business, firewalls and related software. The system is based on Microsoft technology, including on‑premises Exchange 2013, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008 and O365, and supports more than 350 mailboxes. The position’s primary responsibilities include Tier 2 support for the O365 Hybrid environment, supporting SharePoint, Skype for Business and on‑premises AD with Exchange, and providing support for a proprietary SQL database, Electronic Health Records and various web applications.

Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
  • Experience using Office 365 and cloud computing.
  • Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.
  • Performing routine audits of systems and software.
  • Maintain enterprise backup solution.
  • Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, moves, changes, etc.
  • Responsible for 350+ user helpdesk and answering technical queries.
  • Deployment, maintenance, analysis, repairs, replacement, support and upgrade of computer workstations, servers, hardware, software, operating systems and distributed printers.
  • Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system.
  • Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Tracks and monitors problems to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Development and maintenance of related intranet documents. Performs backups and ensures user accessibility to internet/intranet sites.
  • Planning, writing, and maintenance of projects and user support documentation efforts, including online help. Responsible for translating business applications into user documentation.
  • Preparation and maintenance of specified documentation (guides, policies & procedure manuals, tutorials, handbooks, and any other user documentation).
  • Attends staff meetings and in‑service trainings as assigned.
  • Maintains familiarity with BHS policies and procedures and other applicable regulations. Performs job duties accordingly.
Competencies and Performance Expectations
  • Install and configure operating systems.
  • Install and configure workstation computer internal and peripheral devices.
  • Understand basic fundamentals for LAN connectivity protocols.
  • Monitor and manage backup operations for all locations.
  • Remote connectivity support.
  • Adhere to professional standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two‑year education at an accredited institute of higher learning with at least five years’ experience in an IT related field.
  • Intermediate level computer skills and aptitude for acquiring new skills and knowledge.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Windows Servers, LAN, WAN and related applications.
  • Strong organizational abilities combined with clerical skills (typing, filing, phones, data entry will be necessary).
  • Ability to work with a diverse population, including clients with chemical dependency, mental health, aging and other concerns.
  • Ability to use language and terms appropriate for target audience.
  • Ability to “multitask” in fast‑paced environment and remain calm under pressure. Should enjoy troubleshooting and problem solving and possess passion for computer technology.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Forefront, Firewalls, SCCM, Skype for Business, Exchange.
Physical Job Demands

Able to stand, stoop, bend, squat and reach for the purpose of performing job duties such as handling materials stocked on shelves, filing, lifting and assisting in emergency situations. Routinely lift and move items weighing up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 25 lbs; is expected to ask for assistance and use a dolly or cart for heavier items. Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and eye‑hand coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties. Able to sit at desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties. Duties may require occasional use of stool or small ladder.
