Job summary
US Lawns in Cumberland County, PA is seeking an IT Network Administrator to maintain, support, and improve the county’s wired and wireless network infrastructure. The role supports network connectivity projects, hardware installation, troubleshooting, and operational support for county departments onsite.
You will configure LAN/WAN equipment, monitor traffic, provide Tier 2 support, and help evaluate new technologies.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certifications or 5–10 years of IT experience may substitute for a degree.
Responsibilities
- Configure, install, and maintain wired and wireless LAN/WAN infrastructure and related cabling.
- Monitor network traffic and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and collaborate with IT team.
- Evaluate and recommend networking technologies to improve reliability.
- Participate in training and meetings as required.
- Answer department phones and assist with general IT support as needed.
- Support Election Day processes with the Bureau of Elections.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Starting Salary: $55,867.50
Work Hours: Typically Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm, 1 hour unpaid duty-free lunch, 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 per week, work hours beyond the hours listed maybe required
Work Location: This position works onsite at 1 Courthouse Square, Carlisle, PA 17013, the selected candidate must be within a reasonable driving distance to and from this location to respond to potential daily onsite network needs, the ability to work a hybrid remote/onsite schedule is available after 6 months of successful job performance
Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving the county’s wired and wireless network infrastructure. Assists with network connectivity projects, hardware installation, troubleshooting, and operational support for county departments.
- Configure, install, and maintain wired and wireless LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, access points, ethernet and fiber cabling and other network equipment.
- Monitor network traffic to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot network-related hardware and software in response to customer or departmental needs.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support to resolve network-related issues and collaborate with IT teammates.
- Evaluate and recommend network technologies, tools, and improvements to enhance system reliability and performance.
- Participate in training, seminars, and meetings as required.
- Answers department phones and assists with general IT support when needed.
- Work with the Bureau of Elections in support of Election Day processes.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Network Administration, Computer Science, or related field is required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Certifications or 5-10 years of work experience in technical support or information technology will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
- 2-4 years of work experience in information technology.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts including routing, switching, VLANs, ACLs, ethernet, and fiber cabling standards, etc.
