Job summary

Capital University in Columbus, OH seeks a Network Administrator to maintain the campus network infrastructure and collaborate with IT teams. The role requires teamwork to ensure IT services run effectively and to assist in end-user systems support as needed.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with possible variations. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in IT and 3–5 years of network admin experience, plus strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technologies or related field.
• 3–5 years experience in network administration.
• Strong end-user communication and customer service skills.
• Solid understanding of troubleshooting methodology, including OSI model.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and document work thoroughly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the network infrastructure as part of a team of technical staff.
• Configure and upgrade switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, DNS, DHCP, and security services.
• Maintain documentation on all network equipment and configurations.
• Collaborate with Facilities and vendors to install cabling and ensure standards and labeling.
