Employees Retirement System of Texas seeks a Network Administrator to perform routine to senior-level network duties within the Network Services Team. Responsibilities include administering data networks, UC systems, and security devices across data center, backbone, edge, and office environments, under supervision.
The role requires planning, design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise networking initiatives, with opportunity to lead complex projects and mentor staff as needed.

ERS is seeking a Network Administrator to perform routine to highly complex (journey-level to senior-level) network administration duties as part of the Network Services Team within the Information Systems Division. Ensures the efficient and effective operation of the agency's data networking and Unified Communications (UC) systems by performing routine to highly complex work throughout the IT systems lifecycle, including planning, analysis, design, implementation, integration, evaluation, testing, security, documentation, training, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and decommissioning of existing and emerging technologies. Responsibilities range from implementing and supporting network infrastructure to leading the planning, design, integration, and execution of enterprise network initiatives and projects. May provide guidance to other staff on complex assignments. Works under moderate to limited supervision of the Network Services Manager, exercising moderate to considerable latitude for initiative, independent judgment, and decision-making.

Other Information: In accordance with state law, authorization for telework may not be awarded to an employee as a condition of hiring.
