Reporting to the Director of IT, the Network Administrator collaborates closely with the local IT team and the remote Center of Excellence (CoE) teams to deliver exceptional service to the client. This position plays a key role in advancing technology transformation initiatives across data center operations, network environments, and A/V solutions. Responsibilities will evolve over time to align with the client’s technology portfolio and project demands.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade network infrastructure, datacenter equipment, voice systems, and audio‑visual technologies used in classrooms, offices, and campus environments.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of TIA‑568 wiring standards and structured cabling practices.
  • Configure and troubleshoot local area networks (LANs), servers, and related infrastructure systems.
  • Install, configure, and support wireless access point (AP) infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure wireless connectivity.
  • Physically install and bring online network and server hardware, including rack installation, cable management, and hardware deployment.
  • Procure equipment and software, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders as required.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving network, server, voice, print and audio‑visual hardware and infrastructure components.
  • Support service desk and IT teams by assisting with troubleshooting efforts, identifying root causes, and clearly communicating technical solutions to users and stakeholders.
  • Own specific project deliverables and contribute to broader infrastructure and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Communicate project status, technical activities, and accomplishments to both internal CampusWorks teams and client stakeholders.
  • Accurately log, assign, update, and resolve service requests, incidents, and project tasks within designated work management systems.
  • Escalate complex service requests or infrastructure concerns to senior engineers or CoE teams as appropriate.
  • Follow established technical processes, policies, and procedures aligned with CampusWorks and client governance standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including installation procedures, configuration standards, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide after‑hours support for maintenance windows and infrastructure emergencies as needed.
  • Exercise independent judgment and decision‑making with moderate supervision to accomplish assigned objectives.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as determined by CampusWorks leadership or client operational needs.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Active pursuit of an Associate’s degree may be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in network infrastructure, desktop support, audio‑visual systems, or similar technical roles.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure components, including design, functionality, configuration, and troubleshooting practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve technical and operational problems of moderate complexity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and train users in clear, non‑technical language.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team‑based service environment.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and client satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while balancing multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of server infrastructure and server operating systems.
  • Experience with enterprise network equipment such as Aruba, Brocade/Ruckus, and FortiNet.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft server environments and Azure infrastructure.
  • Experience installing and supporting Audio Visual equipment (e.g., neat.board pro or comparable technologies).
  • Familiarity with higher education enterprise applications such as Learning Management Systems (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard) and ERP systems (Banner, Colleague, Jenzabar).
  • ITIL certification or familiarity with IT service management frameworks.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA ITF+, A+, Network+, Server+, or equivalent experience.
