Job summary

Farmers Business Network, Inc. (FBN) seeks an experienced NetSuite Engineer for a hybrid role in the Raleigh, NC area. You will design, build, and maintain NetSuite customizations and data pipelines that support Finance, Accounting, and Operations.

You'll balance native NetSuite configurations with targeted customizations, drive migrations, and help shape the NetSuite roadmap for the next 2–3 years while collaborating with a small, capable engineering team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience (SuiteFoundation / SuiteCloud Developer; SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, workflows, saved searches, custom records).
• Strong functional knowledge of NetSuite Financials: GL, AR/AP, revenue recognition, tax, financial reporting, and period close.
• Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and partner with finance and business stakeholders to scope and deliver solutions.
• Experience building and maintaining integrations and data/ELT pipelines (REST/SOAP, middleware, SuiteTalk; connector tooling such as Fivetran; data warehousing a plus).
• Sound judgment on when to use native NetSuite configuration vs. build custom; solid software engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Elicit needs with Finance, Accounting, and Operations and map current-state processes to scalable NetSuite solutions.
• Default to native configuration first; implement custom development only where out-of-the-box won't meet the need.
• Lead Finance's migration into NetSuite — data mapping, chart-of-accounts alignment, process redesign, and historical data conversion.
• Extend NetSuite into forecasting, inventory and demand planning, budget planning, and MRP.
• Build and maintain integrations between NetSuite and internal/third-party systems; manage ELT pipeline to the data warehouse.
