Job summary

Monmouth Cards is seeking a hands-on Controller to own the NetSuite implementation and drive a clean, timely monthly close across eleven stores and growing channels. You will design the multi-entity framework, lead data conversion, and manage integrations with POS, Shopify, and banking.

Reporting to the COO/CFO and working with the CEO, you will build scalable financial processes, close routines, and internal controls to support expansion and future investor or lender transactions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a Controller or Assistant Controller role.
• Deep, hands-on NetSuite experience — you have implemented it or led a migration to it, not just used it.
• Multi-entity and multi-location accounting experience.
• Strong inventory accounting background in retail, e-commerce, or distribution.

Responsibilities

• Lead NetSuite implementation end to end: chart of accounts, data conversion, cutover, integrations (POS, Shopify, banking, payroll, inventory).
• Own monthly close and deliver a predictable calendar with store and channel reporting.
• Build internal controls and audit trail; manage cash, AP, AR, and lender reporting.
• Partner with outside CPA on tax and compliance; support diligence for financing or transactions.
