Job summary

Vertiv. is seeking a Field Engineer – Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on high-voltage power systems. You will lead testing activities, analyze results, and document engineering findings for diverse critical power environments.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification in good standing.
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Expert knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards.
• Proficiency with test equipment: Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers, switchgear, cables, and circuit breakers.
• Interpret and analyze test results; author comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
