Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Programmer/Analyst for a remote, 6-month contract-to-hire position.

Position Details

• Title: Programmer/Analyst
• Department/Location: Information Technology / Jackson, MS / Remote

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain software applications using .NET C#
2. Collaborate with team members to enhance existing applications and create new features
3. Develop ad hoc programs and reports as requested by management
4. Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware application issues
5. Perform on-call duties related to iSeries systems on a rotation

Qualifications & Requirements

1. B.S. degree in computer science or a related field; or an Associate’s degree with two years of experience
2. Proficiency in structured software design principles and object-oriented programming
3. Experience with SQL databases, including writing queries and performance optimization
4. Exposure to or experience with front-end technologies, particularly React
5. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
6. Familiarity with transportation industry applications is a plus
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
8. Excellent oral and written communication skills
