Job summary

Horizontal Talent seeks a skilled Production Support Engineer to join a fast-paced Azure-based application team in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. This hybrid role focuses on troubleshooting, incident resolution, and small configuration or code changes in a 24x7 support environment.

You will triage incidents, identify root causes, and collaborate with onshore/offshore teams, applying ITIL processes and RCA documentation to prevent recurrence.

Join a fast-paced production support team helping keep mission-critical Azure-based applications running smoothly. This hybrid role in Bartlesville, Oklahoma focuses on troubleshooting, incident resolution, and small configuration or code changes in a 24x7 support environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 production support for enterprise applications hosted in Azure.
• Triage incidents, identify root causes, and drive timely resolution of production issues.
• Support and troubleshoot Azure services such as Function Apps, Storage Accounts, Service Bus, Application Insights, Synapse, and Cosmos DB.
• Work with Dead Letter Queues, replay messages in Service Bus, and investigate message delivery concerns.
• Assist with DevOps pipeline issues, including re-running failed deployments and supporting CI/CD health.
• Troubleshoot Power BI gateway and configuration issues.
• Write queries for Cosmos DB and Synapse Data Warehouse and help investigate pipeline failures using KSQL.
• Make minor .NET/C# configuration or code updates within established guidelines.
• Document incidents, prepare root cause analysis, and support permanent fixes.
• Follow ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Communicate clearly with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams during active support and critical incidents.

Skills

• Hands-on experience supporting Azure-based applications and services.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly assess issues and apply practical solutions.
• Working knowledge of .NET and C# for minor fixes and configuration updates.
• Experience with ServiceNow or a similar ITSM platform.
• Background supporting applications in a 24x7 production environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for status updates and RCA documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a customer-facing role.
• Familiarity with structured support processes and ITIL practices.
• Ability to collaborate across global teams in an onshore/offshore model.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the energy sector.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor and App Insights.
• Knowledge of Power BI support and troubleshooting.
• Experience handling CI/CD pipeline issues in DevOps environments.
• Comfort working onsite as needed for interviews, equipment pickup, or hybrid collaboration.
• Ability to support shift-based coverage for 24x7 operations.
