Job summary

V Group Inc. seeks a .NET Developer to support the NYCSERV-ADJ decommissioning project for the NYC OATH office. You will design, develop, test, and deploy Microsoft technologies, while performing inventory, data migration, validation, and retirement of components.

The role requires strong C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, EF, SQL Server, REST APIs, and Angular 8 experience. Onsite collaboration and stakeholder coordination are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in C# backend development with clean, maintainable code.
• Proven experience in ASP.NET MVC for scalable web apps.
• Deep understanding of .NET Core for cross‑platform apps.
• Experience with EF Core or EF 6 and ORM.
• Proficient in SQL Server, queries, stored procedures, and tuning.
• Experience building REST APIs and consuming SOAP/WSDL/XML services.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5/CSS3 and SPA work with Angular 8.
• Experience with MVC architecture and common design patterns.
• Unit testing with XUnit/MSTest/NUnit; familiarity with TDD.

Responsibilities

• Perform system inventory, dependency mapping and impact analysis.
• Decommission Java-based apps, services, databases, and infra.
• Data extraction, archival and/or migration per retention policies.
• Validate and reconcile data; ensure data integrity.
• Identify and decommission/redirect interfaces, APIs, batch processes.
• Retire services, databases, middleware, infrastructure; decommission components.
• Coordinate shutdown activities with stakeholders and build runbooks.
• Develop, test, deploy and support applications using Microsoft tech.
• Build and enhance web services; support systems integration and deployment.
• Produce design docs, code artifacts, test results, and deployment docs.
