Job summary

City of New York – City Project seeks a .NET Developer for a 36–60 month contract based in Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid). Start ASAP. The role involves developing .NET and .NET Core applications, integrating Angular front end, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver on time.

Ideal candidates will have DHS/ public sector experience, strong SQL skills, and proficiency with AWS, Octopus, Jenkins, and Jira. This contract offers exposure to leading public sector transformation projects through V Group

Qualifications

• Experience building .NET and Angular applications.
• Knowledge of SOLID design principles.
• Experience with TypeScript, React is a plus.
• Experience with AWS and DevOps tools (Octopus, Jenkins).
• Experience with Jira for issue tracking.

Responsibilities

• Develop .NET and .NET Core applications.
• Provide management reporting and information dissemination.
• Identify user stories and translate them into technical requirements as required.
• Develop user stories and break down requirements into deliverable functionality.
• Review the requirements with stakeholders for approval.
• Analyze and document current systems and processes as currently implemented.
• Make recommendations for improvements based on client feedback.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, clients, designers, other developers, and engineers to build applications to specs and on time.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

ITS serves all DSS program areas to fulfill their IT needs

• To meet the business needs and ITS' workload, ITS is seeking qualified candidates in the areas of Database design, architecture, and development, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection
• Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, such as base dictionaries
• Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls
• Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management
• Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of various systems that ITS supports across DSS program areas

Tasks & Duties :

• Develop .NET and .NET core applications
