Job summary

Expert Technology Services in North Carolina is seeking a Junior-level .NET Developer to join the NCDIT Application Team. The role focuses on developing and maintaining web applications using ASP.NET, C#, and MVC architecture, with exposure to OData APIs and SQL Server.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, follow SOLID and OOP principles, participate in testing, and contribute to code quality. The position is contract-based with Temp-to-Perm eligibility; candidates should reside in NC

Job Summary (Junior C# and ASP.NET Developer NCDIT Application Team)

Position: Junior-level .NET Developer (Contract, Temp-to-Perm eligible)

Location: Must reside in North Carolina; occasional commute to Raleigh required

Eligibility: Must be able to work full-time without sponsorship; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Programming (or near completion) preferred

Start Date: Flexible (ideally May/June)

Interview Process: Initial virtual, followed by in-person if needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using ASP.NET, C#, MVC architecture
• Work with OData APIs
• Enhance application functionality and user experience
• Write clean, efficient, modular, and well-documented code
• Adhere to SOLID principles, OOP concepts, design patterns, and best practices
• Design and optimize SQL Server queries and stored procedures
• Implement end-to-end testing and debug applications
• Use Git/GitHub for version control
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, UI/UX, business analysts)
• Work closely with Product Owner to deliver business requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 6 months' experience in:
  • C# (v7+), ASP.NET (v4+), MVC, .NET Core (v6+)
  • OData APIs (v3, v4+)
  • JavaScript (ECMAScript 5+), jQuery (v3+)
  • SQL Server (2016+)
  • Data structures, algorithms, OOP, coding standards, best practices

  • Interest or experience in end-to-end testing methodologies
  • Quick learner of new technologies/frameworks
