Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 in Jersey City, NJ within the Financial Services unit. You will contribute to requirements elicitation, design discussions, and coding efforts across banking, wealth management, and insurance projects.

The role emphasizes end-to-end SDLC, API and microservices work, and collaboration with DevOps in CI/CD environments. Some relocation/travel may be required; US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required; three years of progressive experience may substitute for education.
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project locations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided.
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, make changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold software quality standards.
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications.
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

Required Skill And Experience

• Strong hands-on expertise in .NET Core / .NET Framework, including API development, microservices, and backend architecture.
• Experience with AWS cloud environments, AWS Cloud Migration and services with exposure to EKS, Cloud Front, SQS, Glue, Document DB.
• Microsoft SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

Preferred Skill And Experience

• Experience designing and delivering applications using .NET
• Strong understanding of Microservices architecture, including best practices for logging, exception handling, and scalability.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server and/or AWS Aurora (PostgreSQL).
• Experience collaborating with DevOps and Cloud Architects in CI/CD environments using Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy.
• Build reusable frameworks and components as per the reference architecture.
• Hands on Experience of EKS
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development and cross-functional team collaboration.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
