Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 to join the Delivery team in the United States. The role covers requirements elicitation, design discussions, coding, testing, and production support across banking, wealth management, and insurance domains.

The candidate will work with Java technologies including Springboot, Spring MVC, and Oracle PL/SQL, participating in end-to-end SDLC, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software solutions while upholding quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required; progressions considered.
• Experience with SDLC and Java-based enterprise apps.
• Willing to relocate/travel; authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation by documenting assigned parts of business requirements.
• Facilitate software application design discussions and document design decisions.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, maintaining system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, change the codebase and maintain repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold quality.
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks for new applications.
• Resolve production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill and Experience

Preferred Skill and Experience

• Experience working with at least one major cloud platform, with AWS preferred, and exposure to GCP or Azure.
• Analyze, understand, and modify complex existing codebases to support evolving business and technical requirements.
• Deploy, configure, and manage applications on enterprise application servers such as WebSphere and JBoss.
• Participate across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Contribute to both new development and application maintenance initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with production support teams to diagnose and resolve production issues, including defects and performance bottlenecks.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.

Estimated annual compensation range for candidate based in the below location will be
Pennington, NJ $76,071 to $119836
