Job summary

Charles Schwab in Austin is seeking a software engineer to join Schwab Technology Services. You will design, build, test, and deploy scalable web applications using Angular, C#, and ASP.NET in a collaborative, on-site environment.

You will work with cross-functional partners to translate requirements, troubleshoot issues, and apply sound software engineering practices while expanding your knowledge of cloud, CI/CD, and secure architectures. This role emphasizes hands-on delivery and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of software development, internship, or equivalent hands-on experience developing enterprise or web-based applications.
• Experience developing web applications using Angular, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web development concepts.
• Experience developing back-end solutions using C#, ASP.NET, MVC frameworks, and RESTful and/or SOAP APIs.
• Foundational knowledge of relational databases, including SQL Server or Oracle.
• Foundational knowledge of document databases, including MongoDB or other NoSQL technologies.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including application design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Knowledge of web application architecture, application security, debugging, session management, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts, automated testing practices, and source control management.
• Demonstrated analytical problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
